In 2017, we opened a branch in Iceland, making us the only travel agency in Denmark with the right to call ourselves a tour operator in Iceland. We are proud of our skilled drivers, guides, and the rest of our professional team, all of whom have extensive experience in the travel industry. All our guides speak Danish and have a strong knowledge of both Danish culture and local nature, population, and history.
At Vilholdt Rejser, we are also delighted to welcome Team Island into our family. With the acquisition of this well-known travel agency, we further strengthen our travel offerings to Iceland. Team Island, founded by K. Torben Rasmussen, has for many years created unique, expert-led travel experiences focusing on everything from birds and volcanoes to literature and hiking. K. Torben, who is also the author of the acclaimed travel books Turen går til Island and Naturguide Island, brings in-depth knowledge and a wealth of exciting travel stories.

Ingi Thordarson Vilholdt is not only the founder of Vilholdt Rejser, but also an enthusiastic communicator of Iceland's raw nature and deep culture and he always does so with a twinkle in his eye! Born and raised in Iceland, and living in Denmark since 1994, Ingi combines exceptional insight into both Icelandic and Danish traditions. With his education as a primary school teacher from Aarhus and more than 15 years of teaching experience, he has a rare ability to take complex topics, season them with humor, and present them in a way that both engages and entertains.
