At Vestbirk Camping, you’ll stay in the heart of nature, surrounded by the waters of the Gudenå River. While the children explore the playgrounds, make new friends, and meet our many animals, you can relax and enjoy your time off.
The spacious open areas invite you to take leisurely walks around the campsite and along the lake shores, where you can marvel at the majestic fallow deer in the large enclosure.
Upon arrival, you’ll meet Lene or Peter, the heart of Vestbirk Camping. With decades of experience as campsite managers, quality and personal service have become part of our DNA. We’re always happy to assist with any questions you may have.
If you’re looking for a more active holiday, Vestbirk Camping is the ideal base. With short distances to Horsens, Vejle, Silkeborg, and Aarhus, there are countless opportunities for shopping, culture, and culinary experiences. Or why not enjoy a relaxing canoe trip on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Gudenå River?
If you don’t have your own caravan, tent, or similar, we offer several comfortable accommodation options. For example, you can rent a spacious camping cabin, a bungalow tent, a safari tent, or a caravan with an awning and enjoy a worry-free holiday.

Peter og Lene Norge, Camp Managers We have poured our heart and soul into Vestbirk Camping for more than three decades. Our experience and dedication ensure that every guest has a great experience, and we are always nearby, ready to help. Lene is the organizational cornerstone of the campsite. She keeps everything running smoothly from the office and service areas, where she greets guests with a smile and creates an atmosphere of calm and control. Peter is the man who makes sure everything practical works as it should. With a toolbox in hand, you'll find him around the site, maintaining facilities, solving technical issues, or helping with other hands-on tasks. Occasionally, he also welcomes guests at the reception with the same dedication and friendliness. For us the campsite is more than just a job – it’s a way of life. We do everything we can to make guests feel at home and leave with a smile. Our personal service and passion for the site are why so many guests choose to return year after year.
