Denmark's most child-friendly beach
At Øster Hurup you will find Denmark's most child-friendly beach. You have to go far out before the water reaches your navel and the waves are usually lapping small. Øster Hurup Strand stretches from Als Odde in the south to Dokkedal, which is located approximately 10 km north of Øster Hurup.
The town's marina
Øster Hurup harbour is the epitome of yachting romance. The harbour is one of the town's meeting places, and here yachtsmen mingle with local fishermen and landlubbers who want to soak up the cosy harbour atmosphere. A delicious fish restaurant, barbecue areas and a short distance to the delights of Himmerland make Øster Hurup Marina a popular place for yachtsmen to drop anchor.
