Oplev Sydslesvig

"Experience Sydslesvig" is a joint project of all minority organisations. The purpose is to spread knowledge about the border country and the Danish minority among the Danish population. But how do you spread awareness of something which is essentially about a very special culture and history. When you e.g. driving through Flensburg, you will not immediately discover that a fifth of the population identify as Danes. Perhaps you will see some road signs where the city names are in Danish and in German. You might want to see a poster that alludes to the fact that there is a Danish library in the city or pass through one of the city's beautiful historic merchant's yards with the name Borgerforeningen, which many Germans have probably wondered about over the years.
